Outback Detectives required for a 'Brand' new mystery.

OK all you budding outback detectives here's a mission for you.

On a trip along the Hann Track a short while ago, we stopped at Point Kidman on the Anne Beadell Highway. Another Hann point of interest, when we climbed the rise, we found that by either accident or design, a portion of the trig marker cairn had fallen away. Setting about to repair the collapsed side as best we could, in the middle of the cairn, we found an old coke can with a name engraved on it.

So Don, if you're watching, mystery solved but it's never as easy as that is it.

If anyone has any possible info on just who Donald is and his background, I'd be pleased to know. It's always fun to solve these outback mysteries and you'd be surprised at just what a wealth of knowledge this forum possesses.

Oh and if you think it's as easy as a Goggle search....good luck. You'll get some interesting hits the majority of them on our US mate with the bouffant - Donny Trump and his 'brand' lol.

Not much help Mick but a very cursory check on Ancestry turned up a Donald Brand, died 2016. Some others weren't alive in 1977

Someone more familiar with that site, and membership, might help you more - eg via electoral rolls, family trees etc???
